STATUS HOLDERS @WORK

The Civic Integration Act is aimed at participating in Dutch society as quickly as possible, preferably through paid work or training.

Objective of this project The objective on which this project proposal is based is to retrain 30 to 50 job seekers per municipality into valued workers. During the project, the participants receive professional guidance in addition to following a language course, in which their own personal story appears, and they work on their development, self-confidence and building their future in the Netherlands. Project set-up and intended results Two project phases will be organized during the project. It will be implemented on the basis of a number of vocational training courses. In addition, questions are asked about the place that a training occupies, or can take. Status holders from various ethnic countries will participate in the project. In conversation with the participants, insights with regard to the training will be sought: “technical, etc.” the extent to which this happens, and the desirability thereof. The programming will be determined in collaboration with experts from that area. In consultation, we look for appealing themes of training, types of training, etc. The aim is to allow the themes of individual project phases to vary in emphasis and thus to obtain more depth. If, after evaluation, the project proves to be successful, it can be continued in the fourth quarter of 2022, whereby awareness with regard to other status holders integration processes can be raised. Target groups that qualify for this include status holders.
