STATUS HOLDER FRIENDLY
Statushouders Nederland monitors and certifies these learning programs in the Netherlands. After the audit process, they receive the #StatushouderVriendelijk (StatusholderFriendly) certificate based on a number of criteria and requirements in accordance with the Dutch Civic Integration Act and our Code of Conduct 2025-2026. Setting up a learning and working program is a significant undertaking. Therefore, it's wise to involve us. This not only ensures support but also recognition.

Overview of 2025 learning and work trajectories that are Status Holder Friendly:
STATUS HOLDERS IN THE CLASSROOM
Are you a refugee and would you like to teach math, physics, or chemistry in or around Amsterdam? This year-long work-study program gives you the opportunity to familiarize yourself with the Dutch education system and learn Dutch at the B2 level. During your internship, you'll supervise students and eventually teach a full lesson. This program will be made possible in 2025 by the Foundation for Refugee Students (UAF), Amsterdam University of Applied Sciences, in collaboration with the Cosmicus Foundation. Admission requirements:
- You have a physics, chemistry, or mathematics diploma from your country of origin. DUO has recognized your diploma as equivalent to a higher professional education (HBO) or university education program of at least three years.
- You have a command of Dutch at least at B1 level and you can demonstrate this.
- You live in Amsterdam or the surrounding area and you have a maximum travel time of 45 minutes to the Kohnstammhuis of the Amsterdam University of Applied Sciences.
- You came to the Netherlands as a refugee and you have been recognised as a status holder
